Terms of Use

End User Licence Agreement. Last updated 20 August 2026. Applies to the HalalEats website and the HalalEats iOS (com.reliablesoftwares.halaleats) and Android (com.rs.halaleats) apps, operated by Reliable Softwares. By creating an account, logging in, or contributing to HalalEats you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Zero tolerance

HalalEats has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Content that breaks the rules below is removed, and the account that posted it is suspended or permanently terminated. We act on every report within 24 hours.

1. What HalalEats is

HalalEats is a community map of halal restaurants. Everything on it — places, star ratings, written reviews, photos, halal confirmations and delivery links — is submitted by other users, not by us. We do not inspect restaurants and we do not certify anything.

Always confirm halal status directly with the restaurant before you eat. Community information can be out of date, mistaken, or simply wrong, and you rely on it at your own discretion. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HalalEats and Reliable Softwares are not liable for anything you eat, buy, or decide based on the app.

2. Your account

You must be 13 or older to have an account, provide accurate information, and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for everything posted from your account. One person, one account — accounts created to evade a suspension are removed on sight.

3. Community rules — what you may not post

You agree not to submit, upload or transmit any content that:

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute it within HalalEats and in link previews of HalalEats pages. Your display name is shown publicly next to your contributions; your email address never is.

4. How we enforce this — moderation

Four things run at once, and none of them depends on the others:

You can see and undo your blocks at any time — in the app, under Saved → Blocked users.

5. Suspension and termination

We may remove any content and suspend or terminate any account, at any time and without notice, when these terms are broken. Repeated or serious violations — hate speech, sexual content involving minors, threats, targeted harassment — mean permanent termination on the first occurrence, and we report unlawful content to the authorities where required.

You can delete your own account at any time at Delete account. Contributions others rely on stay on the map, credited to "Deleted user" — see the Privacy Policy.

6. Licence, changes and contact

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the HalalEats apps on devices you own, subject to these terms and to the App Store or Google Play terms that apply to your download. The apps are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Apple is not a party to this agreement and has no obligation to provide support for the app.

We may update these terms; the date at the top changes and material changes are announced in the app. Continuing to use HalalEats after that means you accept the new version.
